Damnit Jeannie, you have to know when to keep shit to yourself. You bring Brett in as your closer if nothing is working, not as a first salvo. Jesus, who the fuck wants a browbeating from their loud, asshole friend until they’ve had some time to process how they’re feeling? You just wind up going along with things to get him to shut up, and you don’t really fix whatever it is that’s bothering you.
The facial expressions in this one are cracking me up.
I don’t think bringing in the Brett would necessarily prove to be a mistake though. Brett loves the game, loves Sam, and maybe most importantly has respected Sam as his GM even when initially balking at Sam’s wanting to try different things.
I for one love and appreciate the tough love that Brett brings to the table. I think it’s what Sam needs at this time, a reality check by way of a loving kick to the metaphorical groin of all that self-doubt and worry. Followed by Amy’s solution, of course ;).
I think it would be cool to see him maybe step back into a Player role, and let someone else take the reigns for a season.
Well now, this should be interesting We’re about to see multiple perspectives of a GM intervention from the blunt friend to the relatible GM. A little “Good Cop, Bad Santa” never hurt anyone before…right?
