Andromeda X Prologue: Finale
Chapter: Season Eight
The finale of the prologue. For me, this is what I imagine we would see before the opening title sequence plays in an episode of the Andromeda X cartoon.
Dallas Noble will be playing Professor Wonder, which for those into glimpses into my life, is my own player character from the Mutants & Masterminds days. I like her so much, I wrote her into the world of Andromeda X.
I continue to wrestle my schedule to the ground, but I am making progress. More soon.
HOVER-TEXT: What the hell is on that highlight reel?!
I want to see the highlight reel, Ray.
AKA The Blooper Reel.
This team has a Blooper Reel. I know it does.
Probably plenty of material for No Context Theater. (hint, hint)
if it’s anything like the All Guardsman Party, we’re in for a treat.
Brian I love this arc so far. Keep up the amazing work
Brian,
I continue to find myself gritting my teeth and smiling at the same time somehow, whispering under my breath, “F$#^ yeah!” on every one of these new comic strips. It’s the same reaction I’ve had with the new Punisher trailer for Netflix. You are killing it sir and in great company! Keep up the fantastic work!
“Material stability at 99.5%.”
“No damage to central nervous system or any sign of cellular decay.”
I think that’s right…or at least 99.5% accurate.
I wonder what the ratio of “sat on a piece of cake” level pranks are on this highlight reel along with the “near-death big ol’ explosion” shots.
I, for one, would watch a show like this.
Out of curiosity, is the Class Ranking system fully fleshed out yet, and if so can you share what it is? Omega sounds like the highest, which might imply Greek Alphabet, but then a lot of the heroes are classified as Spartan, which makes me think it’s an original classification and that makes me excited because I love that kind of thing.
My theory on ‘Spartan’ is ‘equivalent to 300 soldiers.’ Good solid metric.
Omega’s the end of the Greek alphabet, so it’s often used even outside a Greek-letter classification for “world-ending” things.
And part of me wants to believe that “Spartan class” has something to do with John Spartan from Demolition Man. 😀
OK, clearly Hollywood has some kind of healing factor (only way to get anything usable to dump into that tank of Wonder’s), but what does Prof. Wonder do? She looks like an expert in the not!bacta tank Hollywood’s currently in, whatever it is. Did she design it? Gadgeteer/Science Hero, focusing on medical equipment? Or does she run Olympus’ R&D department, like a true omnidisciplinary scientist would?
Well the “toy” Wunderbots that King Chronos zapped back during the break-in were obviously her creations as well. So she’s probably got tech-related powers.
Hollywood might have enhanced toughness or shielding as part of his power set, which could equate with him surviving the explosion as opposed to simply regenerating from the damage. (not that regenerating from anything like that Meltdown would be simple)
Well, he was wearing some tech. Low-profile armor and glowy double-Fitbits. There may have been enough to keep his body from splattering over the countryside, but it sounds like he spent some time ‘mostly dead’.
I had forgotten both about the Wunderbots and Hollywood’s accessories. Maybe those “Fitbits” make a stasis field or something to keep Hollywood’s bits contained during his many, many scrapes with death.
I can say that the art is incredible! Brian, you’re one upping yourself here… new levels of awesomeness!
“No Damage to Central Nervous System or Signs of Cellular Decay”
Hollywood was dead, Dr. Wonder made him better
Badass
*mostly* dead.
There is a difference!
MOSTLY dead means slightly alive!
Screw the cartoon, man! I’d read the Andromeda X comic. (Once it’s successful you can *direct* the cartoon.)
“For me, this is what I imagine we would see before the opening title sequence plays in an episode of the Andromeda X cartoon.”
This MUST happen! 😮
Seriously, imagine the merchandising deals!
On the down side, there are the potential lawsuits too…
“Mr Patterson? Legal department here, we have another case of the Meltdown figure blowing up someone’s house. Perhaps tell R&D not to make them so realistic!”
Hi, Dallas
I feel like his highlight reel is an awesome movie throughout the galaxy
Hollywood’s Highlight Reel would make Michael Bay get up and say “Whoa, that’s a bit… over the top, isn’t it?”
No, no, that was Menahem Golan…
I’ll just show myself out.
Valerian has a “Playlist” of exgirlfriends.
Hollywood has a “highlight reel” of near deaths.
I would personally prefer the former over the later.
Nice little nod to the bacta tank scene from Empire Strikes Back…
…so, (•_•) , ( •_•)>?-? , (?_?)…
…a typical Hollywood scene.
Nice choice of panel effects in the first panels. unexpected!
