Haha that is bad ass! He totally underestimated her! This arc has been a treat, love the world building and all the action and can’t wait to learn more about this King Chronos guy and what his true motivations are… Seems there’s a tad more to him than a mustache twirling big bad evil guy. Plus time travel powers are a personal favorite of mine. Keep being awesome Brian!
Gahhh spent the past three days reading EVERY SINGLE EPISODE to catch up and I’m here and now I get to wait like everyone else but omg this is the best webcomic!!!!!
He’s got time powers, he may be able to “rewind” to an unhurt state, or maybe he has a safeguard that automatically reset him to his last save when he gets too hurt. I don’t think we’ve been explicitly shown what he can do with the whole “record and lock timestream” thing
Remember: pissing off the Brick in the super group will mean that you are now their Special Friend, and you may need a new spine when they are done showering you with individual attention and care…
Reminds me of a named character in a feng shui adventure “Tiny” or as we called him after the first meeting “Dick Neck” he had some much durability that most firearms had no chance to harm him I think the only way we beet him eventually was to run him over with a truck and shoot him with a rocket launcher… several times
So. . . is Chronos’s power to age people? Bronco is looking a lot older all of a sudden. And it looks the same when she swipes Chronos with his own scepter-thingy.
Yep, she’s a little ‘overcooked’ on the side she was blocking that blast with.
Any more of that and she’ll be able to sign up as the replacement for Brett’s Karthun dwarf character 🙂
(Though on the opposite side. Some nice symbolism there. Painful-looking, but nice!)
Always so satisfying when not only does someone take a steady beam or blast, but in fact walk or ‘swim’ up it and delivers a counterattack. Bronco has the heart of a might river salmon!
Yeah, my brick did that in a game once. Continuous fire beam. Especially impressive since he had a double-damage vulnerability to fire. He got cooked pretty badly, but the bad guy had *annoyed* him.
Fortunately there was a fire hydrant, so he did the classic ‘divert the stream with his hands’ power stunt.
I wonder how many save files he’s had to use to prevent dying before and how many matter now that the PCs are actually playing 🙂
It’s likely he’ll survive his neck snapping. But in what state remains to be seen. 🙂
Dude, relax. I love your comic, I’m not paying a nickel for it, and I’m damn grateful you’re doing this excellent art and writing at all when you have to work to eat, too.
We’ll all be here when you get back, whenever it is.
I wonder if Wonder can detect chronometric discrepancies, to warn Bronco to not do what she was going to do. One would assume she’s dealt with this villain beforehand and knows that he can time jump.
BRONCOOOOOOOO
I absolutely LOVE this superhero game. My group has been stuck in fantasy so long I forgot what it was like to play supers.
What a punch-line!
Just here to support Matt’s puns.
Thank you, Trevor. It means a lot to me.
Just need to knuckle down and come up with more

I do hope she’s got at least some healing powers in her list.
Bronco Buster! As in Bronco dun Busted King Chronos! Woohoo!
Sweet punch! The silhouette in the lightning is perfect.
Remember folks, this has all happened in one session. Hell of a session. Especially as a first session from Carlos as DM.
an Eye for an Eye.
time for me to punch outta here
There’s durable, there’s super-durable, there’s unkillable, and now there’s whatever the hell Bronco classifies as.
This is a fantastic page of panels, Brian. Well done!
Nigh-invulnerable. Obviously.
That’s a snapped neck, right? Looks like a snapped neck.
I’d say yes.
Eh, he might get lucky… But we’ve established that these guys are NOT Comics Code compliant…

Hate to see the dentist bill for that
Remember: pissing off the Brick in the super group will mean that you are now their Special Friend, and you may need a new spine when they are done showering you with individual attention and care…
A new spine, new femurs, several new ribs, a new jaw, a new tibula …. SO many new bones. And teeth. And possibly a spleen. Maybe a lung or two, too! 😀
That’s generally known as ‘the Loki Special’.
“Puny god…”

Clearly a Resident Evil boss. They never die until you shoot them with a rocket launcher.
So. . . is Chronos’s power to age people? Bronco is looking a lot older all of a sudden. And it looks the same when she swipes Chronos with his own scepter-thingy.
That was Eletrical discarge into her and her resistance is very high.

“We have a Hulk”
^^^^ Yes, hahahaha, PERFECT! 😀
Hee hee hee…
brilliant. …love “improvised knuckleduster/hand-weight” 🙂
KAY OH
Very cool…no pun intended. 😀
See, the guy cannot clearly see the future. If he was legit, he would have seen that punch coming.
He gonna pull a Diavolo
So I guess it’s safe to say that it’s, “CLOBBERING TIME?!â€

“Sorry all.”

“The fall of YOUR FACE is inevitable!â€
Hey Brian, just checking up on you and making sure you are doing okay over there 🙂
I happily check this page every day for the next comic. And then I go reread it all again XD
