A Pennyworth for Your Thoughts
Chapter: Season Four
It was a heavy arc with a lot of character development and some resolution to lingering questions/threads. I enjoyed it quite a bit and I hope you did too.
We’ll see what happens with Grey, Officer Clark, and Mel as time passes. For now, Monday brings a palate-cleaner.
That was a great arc. After the aforementioned pallet-cleanser, I wonder if we will pick up with Larry or any other story arcs. Or maybe something else like Karthun. Whatever it is, I look forward to it.
Having a bit of an lol at a whole load of drama coming in on a pallet to the loading docks.
Time to clean out those storylines boys, get ’em on the shelf where the customers can see them.
(For the record, the word in question is palate). 😉
Yeah, I really should check my comments before I post them. I sent it from my phone and I must have made a typo. It does portray a funny picture though.
Yes…Sam’s the hero Mel both needs AND deserves right now…because he can take it. Because he’s not just a DM, he’s a silent guardian…a watchful protector…a D20 Monkey.
that line you delivered made me puff out my chest and scream FOR TEH EMPRAH!!! IRL.
well played!
They look like they would make a good couple 😉
Brian I have loved this arc, love this comic, you are a rock star!
Btw-first bubble of second panel, I feel you are missing a “we” as in: who we feel like (we) are at the time.
That was a very nice arc but it feels also a lot like a “start” so i’m very curious to see more!
Nice reference back to the Dread arc!
I guess you could say Sam really changed things in Mel’s life, and there’s no going back.
I’d have to suppose you could say that Mel was really Grey’s reckoning.
I’m sure that Grey just needs to take a seat, have a drink. Quit taking himself so seriously. In opinion he needs to lighten up.
Sam already took any good Batman quote. Wait…There’s a little bit of fight in Grey, I like that. Then I guess he’s going to love that officer.
Great arc Brian! I must say it always impresses me how you can set up such emotional weight without it seeming heavy handed or forced.
Sam is still just the biggest fucking dork though. <3
You really do character development like few others in the webcomics world. And I read a PILE of webcomics. 🙂 Looking forward to a little palate cleansing on Monday; this has been a pretty heavy arc, all right. But definitely needed.
cheers,
Phil
is it going to be a dick joke? i feel like its going to be a dick joke.
Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Grey again if he cleaned up his act. The dude may have a lot of baggage and everyone in the group may have a beef with him right now, but if he could pull his head out of his ass and made peace with everyone (himself included), I could see him being a fun addition to the main cast.
Pretty damn good! Do hope we see more of Grey in the future though.
If he is indeed gay, that being more than a suspicion of Mel’s, he could learn the ropes from the gay bros in the D20 Group. Trevor and his chocolate companion.*
* I’m kidding, I’m in no way implying that homosexuality is a character class which requires levels and strategies.
I dunno, both of my gay friends IRL have 22 and 24 CHA, respectively. pretty much their Stat To Rule Them All…
