Dove
Chapter: Season Four
Don’t worry, I kind of hate myself for creating Phillip Dove. The d20Monkey Rogues Gallery is expanding and you’ll learn more about Phillip and Trevor on Friday.

Damn, just spoiled ever so slightly by the typo…
“fare better”
Sorry, I can’t help myself (English teacher) 😀
I was lettering in the late hours! I promise! DON’T FLUNK ME! 🙂
(and thank you)
really? I thought “Fare better” was spelled correctly, or was there an update and I missed it?
you know, like “Fare Thee Well” which is nowadays contracted to Farewell? Or, “How fares the realm?”
The most despicable villains are those who wrap themselves in a false sense of refinement…
I foresee a villain who will walk away for the time being. If only because Trevor’s not a fan of wasting violence on a thick head.
Congratulations on creating Phil, Brian; I’ve only known about this guy for about a minute and I already hate him more than Grey or Klaus put together. You’ve got a knack for making villains that bring out the hate in me. And not that wishy-washy “he’s so evil but so cool, he’s the kinda baddie you just love to hate” hate, I’m talking “this miserable piece of crap better get what’s coming to him in the end” hate. So yeah, good work.
A racist? Wow… bit over the top.
I… don’t even know what to think.
I couldn’t help but read that in Comic Book Guy’s voice.
Holy crap, I did too!
Same here. Although, applause goes to the lisp and droopy mccool head voices, too.
People like Phillip F. Dove are great to heap the sum of all our angst and hatred upon, but it’s a little sad that there are gamers out there exactly like him (I’ve known more than one which makes me doubly sad).
No neck beard? Virtual neck beard, then!
Maybe ketchup (or whatever…) stains on the shirt…
Yep, hate him on site.
While I’m for talking out differences at the table, I really hope this guy gets beaten. I’ve dealt with way too many of his type.
You should think about making any actual rogues gallery!
I read Phillip’s dialogue with a lisp. Not intentionally… it’s probably because that’s usually how “that guy” is (I have met Phillip on many an occasion).
P.S.: Phil becomes just the teensiest bit more bearable if you imagine that he sounds like Droopy.
Phillip F Dove. I’m pretty sure I had this douche for a GM once.
I heard Nigel Thornberry’s voice in my head, which is weird because I haven’t seen that show in years.
I may hate Phillip….but I LOVE his polo…
Agreed! I want one! I hope it’s a future shirt design, but knittings might cost a bit more than dyes or iron-ons…

and bam! there it is.
YAY! Thanks!
Happy to help 🙂
A sweet new villain, sir!
I can see it now…
“EGAD! Phillip F. Dove, the epitome of evil amongst RPG’ers!”
“And that’s among the most flattering things he’s been called.”
When Dove and Sam meet, they can have a rivalry like Seinfeld/Newman or Farnsworth/Wernstrom every time they meet!
Sam: *eyes narrow, burning (literally?) with pure hate* Phillip.
Phillip: *gazes indifferently, convinced of his superiority* Samuel.
Sam: *grinds teeth* I hate when you call me that!
Phillp: *smirks* I know.
EDIT: The “Egad” joke with credit to Gary Larson (it was a Far Side comic regarding a butterfly collector…that man was a comic genius!)

It seems like that would be pretty easy to defuse; unless I miss my guess, Philip would hate being called “Phil” much more than Sam would hate “Samuel”.
Like others I have sadly met this type before. But unlike them I think Grey is worse.
This person the worst you can do is say “Not worth it.” and walk away leaving him no audience to show off his self aggrandized superiority.
Grey will go out and find a physically weaker person to take out his frustrations of selfworth. Harder to avoid.
not gonna lie, I’ve had people like this share the table before with me. and they get SO butthurt when my Paladin rolls a nat20 surprise round VS GTFO.
good comes in many forms, and sometimes innocent blood may be spilled for the Good Of The Many versus the Few.
