Secret Sam: Part Three
Chapter: Season Three
Characters: Brett Kringle, Mel
There you have it, Sam’s secret revealed.
Some of you may be thinking this isn’t a big deal but trust me, in the context of Sam and his reputation, this is pretty major. Why so? How will the rest of the group react? How will Sam react to Mel and Brett snooping? Keep reading and all will be revealed.
To everyone celebrating American Thanksgiving: Have a safe and happy holiday.
UPDATE: A lot of folks asked for a larger version of the map panel to read all of Sam’s notes. Here it is!
Now, the all important question. Will you be creating and releasing this campaign setting for real?
This.
If it’s a Sam and Brett thing, why does Mel get so excited? Love the notes all over the friggin’ place though. Been there done that.
I edited my post to avoid confusion. It’ll be a big deal for Sam and the people who know him given his history as a DM. He’s been a Greyhawk DM since he started with no deviation.
I love the feeling of working on a campaign setting. I have a quite a few sitting on so many backburners.
I did not see this coming. I thought Sam was hooking up with Dallas or something.
Writing your own campaign is friggen hard! I know I got one still on hiatus from before I started studying…
Looks like it’s gonna be SWEET!
I feel as excited and overwhelmed as if I were part of his group. I want to pour over his notes and become one with Sam’s world!
I admit it, I spent a good 10 minutes skimming the notes on the wall. I’m really intrigued by what’s been written already.
Same here… Does look nifty.
I’m getting some flavors of Ravenloft-lite. The Known World is small, but powerful, with some ominous, world-shaking overtones. Not a horror setting, but there are certainly ways things can go Very Badly.
NO VANCIAN!
Nono, you misread that… it’s ‘No Vacancy’. 😀
Excellent! I was expecting Sam to have something like this going on. Gets me excited to see the d20monkey adventure game, if this is its starting point!
the notes i can read are giving me a nerdboner
Am I the only one who noticed that the colors for the gods are just the
Magic the Gathering colors turned to the right and the positions of red
and blue switched?
Hey, if you ever actually want to create this campaign setting do let me know. 🙂
NO D4 DICE!
It occurs to me that the map image would make an excellent FB cover image.
I’m also liking this ‘undead mother of the dead’ thing. No good can come of it. 🙂
That is a fantastic idea! Done and done!
This NEEDS to become a real Game World. 4e, Pathfinder, Old School, Savage Worlds, AGE.
Love the bombshell! Looking forward to seeing where this goes and maybe the campaign itself in the comic!
Just reading some of the post-its makes me want to play this game. Damn you, Brian!
So I have a campaign about 7/8 sessions in, based on a world I’ve built from the ground up, and for some reason I’m catching very similar over-tones. I can’t put my finger on any one specific one, but just somehow the flow and feel, seems similar. It definitely interests me. I am curious as to how this all goes.
And more and more, my regret for being completely broke for the time of the kickstarter rises. I would’ve poured a small fortune into it if I could’ve….
The epic beginnings of Karthun!
